Our opening prayer this week:
All glory, laud and honor To you Redeemer, King,To whom the lips of children Made sweet hosannas ring. You are the King of Israel, And David’s royal Son,Now in the Lord’s name coming, The King and Blessèd One.All glory, laud and honor To you Redeemer, King,To whom the lips of children Made sweet hosannas ring. The company of angels Are praising you on high,And mortal men and all things Created make reply. All glory, laud and honor To you Redeemer, King,To whom the lips of children Made sweet hosannas ring. The people of the Hebrews With palms before you went; Our prayer and praise and anthems Before you we present. All glory, laud and honor To you Redeemer, King,To whom the lips of children Made sweet hosannas ring.To you, before your passion, They sang their hymns of praise; To you, now high exalted, Our melody we raise. All glory, laud and honor To you Redeemer, King,To whom the lips of children Made sweet hosannas ring.As you received their praises, accept the prayers we bring,O Source of every blessing, Our good and gracious King.
Daniel 11:29–32
- "At the appointed time he will come again to the South, but this time will not be like the first.
- 30 Ships of Kittim will come against him, and being intimidated, he will withdraw. Then he will rage against the holy covenant and take action. On his return, he will favor those who abandon the holy covenant.
- 31 His forces will rise up and desecrate the temple fortress. They will abolish the regular sacrifice and set up the abomination of desolation.
- 33 With flattery he will corrupt those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will be strong and take action.
