daily reading 25.1 (Zechariah 6:14–15)
5-days-a-week through Daniel and other late OT books in 2023
Our opening prayer for this Easter week:
I plead my innocence;
Give heed, Lord, to my cry
And listen to my prayer which comes
From lips that do not lie.
Lord, vindicate me soon,
That you may see the right;
I pray you, try and weigh my heart
And search my soul at night.
Melt down my soul and see
There is no wickedness;
I heed the words you speak, O Lord,
That I may not transgress.
I follow step by step
The way that you command,
And in the pathway that I walk
You guide me by your hand.
I call upon you, Lord,
For you will answer me;
I pray that you will hear my words,
Give ear, Lord, to my plea.
When enemies arise,
O Savior, let me see
Your loving-kindnesses again,
Preserve me, set me free.
My Savior, keep me as
The apple of your eye;
Beneath the shadow of your wings
In safety let me lie. Amen.
Zechariah 6:14–15

- 15 "People who are far off will come and build the LORD's temple, and you will know that the LORD of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen when you fully obey the LORD your God."
